It can be quite difficult to choose a flea control product, more so if you have no idea about the right one you actually need. K9 Advantix for dogs is a flea control product that you might find very useful for your dog.

Why K9 Advantix?

This product offers a 5-way protection. It does not only repel and kill ticks, fleas and mosquitoes but repels biting flies and gets rid of chewing lice as well, so it provides protection from more pests that any other pest control products in the market today.

The good thing about this product is that even if your dog loves the water, this product is waterproof, so even if you bathe your dog or you go swimming or if got wet in the rain your dog remains protected.  For best results though, it is advised to use non-detergent shampoo when bathing your dog.

What you Need To Know

Here are some of the finer points you need to know about K9 Advantix

K9 is a topical flea control product specifically made for dogs. It is a non-prescription product that is available at most veterinarian's office, pet stores and even online pet pharmacies.
The product gets rids of fleas, ticks, mosquitoes and lice.
It can also repel fleas, ticks, mosquitoes and biting flies.
The active ingredients of the product are imidacloprid and permethrin, these elements attack the central nervous system of the pests and cause paralysis and eventual death.  And since they target the nervous system of the insects primarily, they are generally safe for external use with your dogs.
The product is recommended for use at least once a month since the main ingredient is generally potent for at least a month.
Treatment is waterproof, so it is good for use with dogs who love to swim.
K9 Advantix is generally safe for use for your K9 pet, 7 weeks and older.
The product is meant for dogs and should not be used to treat cats since the active ingredient is not well received by cats and might cause serious side effects even death if you persist on using it with cats
The product is generally safe but pregnant and nursing dogs should be brought first to the veterinarian before applying any flea treatment.

Perhaps the best advantage that K9 Advantix for Dogs provide is the wide variety of pests that it can resolve and if your dog is especially susceptible to biting flies and mosquitoes as well as fleas and ticks this is also a good product for you.  So if you have a good number of pest problems then this product is definitely for you.

K9 Advantix ? Pest Control for Your Dogs

I have a black lab who is 55 lbs. and almost two years old. In the summertime, she is in the water 3-4 times every week. Right now I give her Sentinal for heartworms and flea control and Frontline occasionally. But this summer we have a TON of mosquitos and need to find something that works to repel and/or kill fleas, ticks and mosquitos that won't wash off in one week.
Msiage - Not underweight, just a small black lab!

Is There a Home Remedy for Fleas? Outside Areas Are Hard to Keep Flea Free. Did Advantix - My Dogs HAVE Fleas?

I have two dogs, a lab and a weimaraner (both full grown). Both are on K9 Advantix, and both have been rolling in the dirt outside. They desperately need a bath, but I don't know what to use! My instinct is to assume the advantix soaks in and it won't be a problem, but I don't want to take that chance. Any suggestions on what kind of shampoo I can use?
Please, no lectures on which flea treatment is better. My mind is made up, and this is the one that I prefer. thanks!

I check the dogs constantly....The Telstar was applied a week ago..I'm pulling at least 5 - 6 ticks off each dog every day. Now I'm also finding the ticks crawling up the walls in my bedroom (where the dogs sleep).....Could there be a nest of ticks in the walls?

Is It Safe to Split a Large Dog Dose of K9 Advantix Between 2 Smaller Dogs?

When your dog or cat engages fleas or ticks in battle, give your pet the advantage! Flea control products are a safe, fast and effective means of eliminating flea and tick problems the right way the first time.

It's tempting to try to take the easy way out - just cross your fingers and hope that fleas and ticks don't happen to your pet. Unfortunately, if you live in parts of the country where fleas and ticks are prevalent, you could be putting your other pets and family members at risk for uncomfortable flea and tick bites, as well as the dangerous diseases these parasites carry, if you let your pet go "au natural."

Spot applications of flea drops such as Advantage flea control, Frontline for dog or cat fleas, and K-9 Advantix are a good way to apply a small, targeted flea treatment that will go right where it's needed without "spraying" or "dipping" your dog - processes that uses more medication than really necessary, and without using a flea collar which may be ineffective at the tail end of your dog, anyway.

You can supplement your efforts with natural flea control methods including cedar shavings in the pet's bedding area, regular vacuuming, and combing your dog to inspect for and remove fleas and ticks by hand.

These processes can be time consuming, though, and if you're not going to have time to keep up with them, fleas and ticks can easily get the better of you because they are hard to detect when they arrive and can multiply quickly.

Break the flea life cycle and keep flea eggs already in your home from re-starting the infestation cycle, with an easy monthly application of Advantage flea control products, Frontline, or K-9 Advantix for dogs.

Whichever product you use, be sure to read the directions and follow them closely.

Advantage Flea Control, Frontline for Dogs, or K-9 Advantix - Fast and Effective Pet Medications

My two six year old dogs are suddenly getting fleas and ticks even using either Frontline Plus or K9 Advantix. They are also on Sentinel which not only takes care of heartworm but is supposed to give them extra flea protection.
I'm at my wits end and hope someone can suggest other options.
I've tried Brewer's Yeast and garlic and tea tree oil all to no avail.
I'm getting desperate.
